rehearsal dinner photo diary

Friday, May 01, 2015

Hello, everyone! Today I am sharing with you all a photo diary of our wedding rehearsal / rehearsal dinner! Of course, the first part of the evening was a quick run through of our ceremony at the church. It was really awkward walking down the aisle while there was only 10 people sitting in the pews, haha!

Next, we headed to Stokes Grill & Bar. This is a Mexican restaurant in the Old Market in Omaha. Tyler and I love Mexican food so we knew we wanted it for our rehearsal dinner. We wanted the evening to be formal, but to still feel like us. This place was perfect because it was near to the hotel for all of our out of town guests, and had a separate party room and patio!

We had about an hour of mingling with our friends, having some drinks, and eating appetizers. (Chips and guacamole.. yes please!) Our rehearsal dinner had about 45 people at it, so we had five different dinner choices for our guests to pick from. We sat down to dinner and Tyler's dad said a prayer before food was served. After awhile, we gave our wedding party and parents their gifts for being a part of our big day. The evening lasted about five hours, but I felt like it just flew by!

Tyler is a huge Royals fan, so we had a Royals cake at our rehearsal dinner! This replaced a grooms cake at our wedding reception. It was a huge hit! If you look look closely in the picture above with Tyler's cousins, you can see a baseball game on the projector. Can't keep a man away from his team for too long ahah!

It was such a fun evening, spent with people who mean so much to us! The rehearsal dinner was special because it gave us time to really talk to people... especially since we knew we would not have lots of time to chat the next day! More wedding posts will be coming over the next few weeks! If you would like to see the details of our wedding planning click here. If you would like to see my outfit details, click here.
