As you all know, Tyler and I took a weekend trip to Milwaukee a couple weeks ago. It was honestly a very spontaneous trip. I received an email in June about Southwest flights for $49 and Milwaukee was one of the choices! I sent Tyler an email as a joke, and he responded back suggesting going September 27-29. Hours later the trip was booked, haha!
We flew out on Saturday and a good friend I grew up with, Betsy, picked us up from the airport! We picked up lunch and ate it back at her house with her roommates. We were also offered Bloody Mary's, which I quickly learned were a huge deal in Milwaukee!
That night, Tyler and I went on a tour of Lakefront Brewery. We loved this tour! It was only $7 and you got four beer samples, as well as a pint glass to take home! The tour guide was hilarious, too, which made it so fun. If you ever go, I highly recommend it!
Later that night we met up with Betsy and her friends to go to a bar. We loved Milwaukee because so much of the city was right on the river, and the bar we went to was right on the water! We had so much fun at the bar and hanging out with Betsy's friends.
Sunday we went to Miller Park to see the Brewers play the Cubs. We had a ton of fun, but we like Kauffman stadium better ;). We went out to dinner that night for sushi at Screaming Tuna. Again, it was right on the water so we loved it! Our "thing" on vacation is to go out for a sushi dinner, so we always make sure to fit it in!
Monday we dedicated the day to exploring the city. There is so much to see here, we were not ready to come back to KC! We could not have had better weather... it was in the upper 70s all weekend. It made walking around the water and looking at this view perfect : ).
If you ever get the chance to go to Milwaukee, I highly recommend it. We loved our trip and definitely want to go back!
