2013 has been one of the best years. It has been a year of firsts; first job, first apartment, first time at various sporting events, and...

It is now the second to last week of the Holiday Link Up with On the Daily Express and More Pieces of Me. It is crazy to think that the holiday season is almost over! I have mixed feelings about it; I will miss the holidays but I am looking forward to actually having time to relax. Today's look is all about what to wear on New Year's Eve!
It is freezing here in Missouri, so going out without layers really is not an option! I love fun patterned blazers, so pairing one with a LBD for the night was a no-brainer for me. I really wanted to wear a sequin blazer but could not find one I liked anywhere. I'm still on the hunt so if you have seen one, please let me know in the comments below! While this dress looks great on its' own, I love it with a blazer and belt. I just couldn't resist the urge to pair it with emerald accessories, either. With 2013 coming to a close, it makes perfect sense to rock the color of the year one more time ;).

Today I have a fun new app to tell you all about! The app is called Askem. In it, you are able to ask and answer interactive questions just by clicking on the photo. The app is free to download and use. Just like other social media, you can use hashtags as search criteria. Below I compare the leather leggings look from today and from last week. I asked you which one was your favorite... vote below and give the app a try! (You don't have to have an account to vote, FYI.)
I hope you all have a great weekend. Tyler and I are doing some wedding planning! We will be checking out our top 2 venues one more time and making a final decision. I can't wait!

Today, as part of the Holiday Link Up with On the Daily Express and More Pieces of Me, I am sharing my holiday traditions! This year is the first year Tyler and I will be celebrating as an engaged couple. I always love Christmas, but I feel like this year will be super special :).
In the coming years, we will combine our family traditions as well as start some of our own. I am so excited to see how our family traditions come together. Here are some of my favorite family traditions:
1. For dinner on Christmas Eve,we order Valentino's pizza and lasagna. It is one my family's favorite things. My mom has asked before if we want to change this dinner to something more formal, and we always say no. It's nice to keep Christmas Eve simple and stress free!
2. When we were little, my brother, sister, and I each got to open one present on Christmas Eve. It was always a process picking which present we just had to open the night before! This is something I would love to do when Tyler and I have kids in the
3. Tyler and I do one Christmas date night a year. We go out to a fancy dinner and do our gift exchange just the two of us. (The picture is from our date last year.) I love having the time to ourselves. I don't know how long this will continue, but for right now it has become a favorite tradition of mine!
4. Growing up, I was in The Nutcracker ballet. I miss it so much and it is one of my favorite parts about Christmas! Even though I was in it and have a love-hate relationship with the music, I get so excited for it every year. We didn't make it this year because our trip to Mexico occupied two of the weekends it was showing, but hopefully Tyler will take us next year!
P.S. My look from last week was chosen as one of the Holiday Style Linkup Party favorites! Check it out by clicking the button below!

If you've been following my blog for awhile now, then you know that I love shopping at Express. This outfit is an embarrassing example of that. Every single piece of this outfit (except the shoes) is from Express. I like to blame my addiction on the fact that I worked there, but the truth is that most pieces I am wearing were purchased after my last day there. Guess it's a life long love affair ;).
After work today, Tyler and I are traveling back to Omaha for the holidays. We have an ugly sweater party again tonight (!!) and are doing our Christmas date night one night this weekend. I am so excited to be home for an extended time and to celebrate the holidays. Safe travels to anyone traveling today or tomorrow.
Have a great weekend, everybody!

There are a few things I'm loving right now: leather leggings, faux fur, Brina Box, and Rebecca Minkoff! This outfit was a no-brainer for me because it included so many of my favorite pieces. I seriously wish I could wear this outfit every single day.
Another favorite that I have right now is a dance on YouTube. The dance team at WVU put on a performance as a tribute to the victims of Sandy Hook. It is seriously breath taking. I love how powerful dance is. The performance was actually a few months ago, but I just now discovered it. Take a look below for yourself :).

You all saw a preview of this outfit last week when I reviewed my Firmoo glasses! Today you're getting the rest of the look! (Remember to use my coupon code, AMEMORYBLOGS4, to save yourself $30.)
Isn't it crazy when you look at the picture form last week vs. this week? Last week there was snow on the ground and it was freezing...today it's 50 and sunny! (Last week, I didn't have time to take full outfit pictures so I just did the one with the glasses and did the rest this past weekend.)
//Old Navy sweater / J.Crew factory skirt / Target tights / DSW boots similar / Brina Box necklace / Brina Box bracelet/ Firmoo glasses c/o //
I've had these glasses for a week now, and I seriously love them! THREE random people at the grocery store complimented them last night! If pushing a cart down an aisle and being stopped to ask where your glasses are from doesn't prove to you how perfect these are, I don't know what will! The coupon code is only valid for a few more days, so be sure to order a pair for yourself before it's too late!
PS. Thanks to everyone who responded to my questions about GFC yesterday. I found out I'm not the only one with the problem, and it sounds like it's being discontinued!

Good morning, everyone! Today I am teaming up with the lovely Mary-Katherine of The Gold Hatted Lover to show you how we wear peter pan collars. I've been a fan of peter pan collars for awhile now, and I'm kind of surprised they aren't more popular! I went on a massive hunt for one of these before going to the always trusty J Crew. (Seriously, no other stores had them!!) I love how MK styled hers with a skirt, which shows just how versatile they are!
//J. Crew factory top / Brina Box necklace / Brina Box pave bracelet / American Eagle jeans / Tory Burch flats (no longer available) / Michael Kors hamilton tote//
I paired mine with a simple necklace underneath the collar to give it a little something more. These tops stand out great on their own, so a lot of accessorizing isn't really necessary. (But I couldn't resist a little sparkle!)
Be sure to stop on over to MK's blog to read more about her look!
Also -- one of my favorite blogs, Pinterest Told Me To, has an amazing giveaway today. Check it out here.
P.S. My google friend connect is not working. It errors out if you try to click "Join Site". Does anybody know why this is happening or how to fix it?? Let me know in the comments!

Today is week three of the Holiday Link Up with On The Daily Express and More Pieces of Me. This link up has been so fun to participate in! Today we are all showing you our holiday travel outfits and tricks. I have a three hour drive home for the holidays. It's not too far to travel, but it does take some planning. See my top 5 tips for holiday travel below!
1. When trying to pack as light as possible, make sure you pack lots of neutrals.
2. Travel in clothes you'll want to wear again; plain dark denim and Tory flats will get a lot of use on your trip!
3. Bring your makeup necessities, not your whole makeup drawer. Also, most likely wherever you're going will have shampoo, conditioner, etc. for your use. Check before packing up your whole shower!
4. It's true what they say; when you roll your clothes they take up way less space than if you just fold them!
5. Cute luggage is a must! I love pretty much everything Vera Bradley.
