As I am sure many of you are know, April is Autism Awareness Month. "Light It Up Blue" is specifically celebrated on April 2, and it is dedicated to raising awareness about autism. I don't post on Thursdays, so I missed the actual day here on the blog. However, I noticed so many people wearing blue in blog land (and in real life) on the day. I really do think it does a great job of bringing awareness to autism. Every time I saw someone in a blue shirt, I instantly thought of what it represented.
My friend Shelby sells Stella and Dot jewelry, and they actually have a bracelet right now created specifically for autism awareness. She is sharing some information about it below!
---
My name is Shelby and I am friends with Darcy in real life! I love fashion, especially accessories. As a stylist for Stella & Dot, I am ecstatic to share that a special bracelet has been created for autism awareness. This cause is near and dear to my heart. My younger sister, Paige, has autism and she is the happiest and sweetest person I have ever known. This month all of the proceeds of the Visionary Bracelet will go to the HollyRod Foundation to assist people with autism. The name, Visionary, represents looking beyond what's possible, the colors of the rainbow thread represent the diversity of people and families living with autism, and the brightness of the thread and black diamond crystals signals a vision of a bright future through awareness. One bracelet will buy a therapy-sensory device for someone with autism. My goal is to sell 50 bracelets through the month of April, which would buy 10 tablets with special apps for speech therapy and social skills.
Here is the link to the trunk show I have open for the cause. Shop this bracelet here.
Linking up with More Pieces of Me and On the Daily Express.
I would love it if you would follow me on GFC or Bloglovin'!

There are so many people with autism! Awareness is so important. I think even more should be done. We need a lot of research as to what is causing this problem. You look great Darcy!
