||BEARPAW Magnolia Wedges c/o |Marc by Marc Jacobs 'Medium Pretty Nylon Tate' Tote| Ray-Ban Original Aviators | J.Crew Factory Chambray Shirt (Less than $20!) |

How many dresses do you have in your closet that you wore for a fancy semi-formal event (bridal shower, Easter, etc.) and never touched again? Today I wanted to share with you all one way to dress them down a little bit! (This works for any dress really, but I love doing it with something that is a little fancier that I want to dress down.) Knotting a chambray shirt gives the dress such a relaxed feel! Of course, you can also just throw on a denim jacket... but I really like how this is a little more unexpected!

This dress is from a boutique here in Kansas City called Tulip. I am participating in a contest with some other bloggers where we all styled the exact same dress! You can vote for me to win on their Facebook page. I would really appreciate if you would vote -- you have until 10 AM Friday.

I would love it if you would follow me on GFC or Bloglovin'!
