Everything I Rented from Rent the Runway this Summer | Is Rent the Runway Supscription Service Worth the Money

It's no secret around here that I absolutely love using Rent the Runway's subscription service. I always do the 10 item plan. You can see past reviews in this post and again here. (Spoiler: It's amazing and I love it!)
Well, we had a very busy July/August so I knew that using Rent the Runway's Subscription Service was an absolute no brainer. I have mentioned this in past posts, but I love to use this service when I have a lot of special events going on. Paying for a month of rentals is much more cost effective than buying all new outfits. (And I get to wear higher quality items as opposed to the cheapest thing I can find online!)
Here is a round-up of everything I rented this Summer and my review of the items. Everything I rented this month is all linked in this single LikeToKnow. It post here and in the widget below.
Outfit Number 1: Dress for Kenny Chesney Concert / Country Concert Outfit
This mini dress was the perfect option for a country concert. I wore it to Kenny Chesney at Arrowhead. Fully lined and the ties at the shoulders were so cute!

Outfit Number 2: Dress for Beauty and the Beast the Musical / What to Wear to a Musical
This pink summer dress was so flattering and comfy! I actually ended up wearing it twice. First to the Beauty and the Beast Musical with my friend Emily. Later, I wore it out to brunch. The back has a cut out but I was able to wear a normal bra with it. Very cute!

Outfit Number 3: Dress for Retirement Party / What to Wear to a Retirement Party
My Father-In-Law retired this summer, and his company put together a celebration for him. I wanted a cute dress that was appropriate to wear into an office building, but also that felt more special than typical corporate style. This dress was perfect since it had short-sleeves and was structured. I loved the blue floral pattern, too!

Outfit Number 4: Dress for Olivia Rodrigo Concert / Cute Black Party Dress
I don't know about you, but I love that ever since The Eras Tour dressing for concerts has turned into something SO FUN! One of my girlfriends and I went to the Olivia Rodrigo GUTS tour, and I knew I wanted something special. My top choice was a black sequin dress and this star print sequin dress was absoutely perfect. I love that Rent the Runway gives me so many fun options for special events. It makes way more sense to rent special occassion outfits, because really when is my next chance going to be to wear a sequin mini dress?

Outfit Number 5: Back-up Outfit for Olivia Rodrigo Concert / Cute Red Romper
This red romper was my backup option to wear to Olivia Rodrigo in case the sequin dress didn't work out. I liked it, but ultimately decided the sequin dress was a better choice since it matched her color scheme better. One thing to note about this romper is it zips in the back, which felt like that could get dicey in a romper.

Outfit Number 6: Romper for Brunch with the Girls / Retro Inspired Floral Romper
How darling is this floral romper?! I rented this retro floral romper by Louna as an option to wear out to brunch with the girls. I briefly considered it for a country concert, too. This fit true to size for me and was soooo cute. Very light-weight and perfect for hot summer days.

Outfit Number 7: Dress for a Wedding / Blue Wedding Guest Dress
We had a wedding in July and I knew I needed a cute dress for it! I love Rent the Runway for dresses to wear as a wedding guest because they have so many options and styles. Normally, I like to find a longer dress for a wedding but a wedding in the middle of July in KC required a mini dress. This blue mini dress was such a flattering option. I loved the one shoulder, the color was pretty, and the cutout was a fun touch. It is short, though, so if you are on the taller side you might err on the side of caution with this one.

Outfit Number 8: Backup Dress for Wedding / Pink Wedding Guest Dress
A backup option to wear to the wedding in July. This pink halter neck dress would have been another great option. The draping over the midsection is so flattering.

Outfit Number 9: Dress for Dinner with the Girls / Floral Dress for Fall
I wore this floral dress out to dinner with the girls. I felt like it ran large though, so size down!

I hope this post inspires you to rent clothes for special occassions, instead of buying something you'll only wear once! I love the Rent the Runway subscription service. With the plan I select, I get to rent 10 items in a month. You get 5 items in a shipment and can return it once to replace all 5 items. This works out great for me as I usually plan my rentals based on events, so I get 5 items for one event/period of time and them replace them all. Since this month I knew I had Olivia Rodrigo coming up, I rented my options for her in the first shipment and then held on to the dress I chose so that is why there is only 9 items for me listed. I wanted to make sure I had exactly what I wanted and time to get something else if needed!
Since my first post reviewing them, they updated their policy where as soon as you mark an item returned they let you select your replacement items and ship them right away. This means you aren't losing tons of time waiting for a shipment! It is an amazing service. I also love that you can text a customer service agent when you need help or styling advice. If you have any questions about this service, please reach out on Instagram. For more detailed reviews, check out this post or my original review here
