Midi skirts have been around for awhile, and it does not seem like they will disappear anytime soon. I have been wanting one for a couple months, but never liked any I tried on. I finally found a couple that I liked enough to bring home, though!

I loved how this one was leather -- it seemed perfect for Fall! I think due to the length it would look better with nude pumps or wedges. I just didn't think those would keep with the edge of leather, spikes, and studs here! I like how it looks but I am not in love with the length of midi skirts on me yet. But hey, what fun would fashion be if we never pushed ourselves out of our comfort zones?!

I am extremely excited for today's post because I get to show you all our engagement pictures! Our pictures were taken by Tina Norman of In His Image Film & Photo and we could not be happier with how they turned out. I heard of Tina when a friend from high school used her for her wedding. When Tyler and I first started looking for photographers, Tina was one of the first people I contacted. After comparing prices and talking with Tina on the phone, we decided to book her for our wedding! Out of everyone I talked to on the phone, Tina was the one who I connected with best.

On the day of our engagement pictures, Tyler and I were not sure what to expect. Although I had communicated with Tina over email, I had not really talked to her since the day we chose her for our wedding. We were pretty nervous when we went to meet her! We were instantly relaxed, though, because Tina made the entire process so relaxing and stress-free. We were laughing the entire time! The time flew by, and we were so surprised when our time was up! I was crossing my fingers we would have some good pictures to choose from and Tina did not disappoint. I could easily put 50 + here in this blog today, but I have narrowed it down to some favorites! Enjoy :).

Tina is based in Nebraska, but willingly came to KC to do our engagement pictures. She travels all over the Midwest and even did a wedding in Curacao!

It finally feels like Fall here in the Midwest! I am able to wear sweaters, scarves, and boots without dying of heat. (I will probably be complaining about this in three months haha.) The trees around our house are starting to turn colors and it is seriously so pretty. When you drive into our neighborhood you are greeted by trees of yellow, orange, and green. If we ever find the street without cars parked in it, we are going to take pictures by them!

Tyler and I attended a wedding this past weekend in Omaha. It was his old neighbor's wedding so the whole family was invited! I love going to weddings -- we actually have one every month for the rest of the year! Above is what I wore. This dress is from Banana Republic and is currently on sale! I am obsessed with this heels (last worn here). They are incredibly comfortable, especially now that I have worn them multiple times. I wore them the entire night, even while dancing! If you can do that, you know you've got good shoes ;).
