My skin is proof that Clearstem actually works. I remember feeling so down about myself in 2023 when I was back to dealing with skin issues I had when I was 16. I struggled for years with my skin while growing up -- Accutane in high school which fixed the problem temporarily for a few years and then spironolactone in college when it came back.  Clearstem Mind Body Skin supplement is a hormonal acne supplement that targets acne at the source (hormones and gut). When I was really struggling with my skin, I took this every day. Three years later, I still keep it on hand but it is not a daily product for me any more. Today, I take it when I am eating food that I know breaks me out (lots of dairy or sugar). I will also reach for it if I do get a break out and want to try to help it heal faster. 

I actually did the Clearstem lab test in 2024 to try to better understand my skin. It helped me learn what specifically was triggering my acne. I was so surprised to see that the two biggest triggers for my acne were blood sugar imbalance and drainage. They recommended a few supplements (if I remember right it was like a 4-5 month protocol) to follow to help support my body in those areas. For me this ultimately resulted in more lifestyle changes such as drinking more water, not starting my day off with coffee (making sure I eat first as often as possible - admittedly one of the hardest adjustments for me), prioritizing protein in every meal, dry brushing, guasha, and digestive enzymes when I feel I am eating a heavy meal. For the most part, my skin care routine is very similar today as it was three years ago. I still use Clearstem skincare gentle face wash and bounce back serum in the morning. I love the moisturizer and sunscreen especially. My night time routine is where I have introduced changes, however.  Now that my skin is clear I am focusing on acne scar support. In addition to micro needling, I am currently trying out Norse Organics acne scar healer. I will use this most evenings on my skin. I am still in my first few months of using it, so will need to report back when I have more time to see how it works (so far so good). The other piece that has changed in my night time skin care routine is I now guasha a few times a week. When I do my guasha routine, I use the watermelon barrier oil to give myself a facial massage and help promote drainage. I am not perfect with a routine for guasha but I try to do it at least twice a week - more often if I have a pimple I'm trying to help heal. 

Another newer product that I am using is Manuka Honey. (You can read more about how I use Manuka Honey here). However, one other use I love it for is a face mask! I use this one from Activist -- again how often I use it is really based on how my skin is doing but I use it at least once a week. It is so helpful for acne, or red skin, and helps give a glowing skin look. Absolutely love! Pricey but a little goes a long way.

So three years later would I still recommend Clearstem? 100%! Clearstem has worked wonders for my skin and I'm so happy I found it. Although I am switching out a few products here and there, it is still a constant in my routine.  (I haven't mentioned it here yet but this feels like a great time to mention how much I love their eye patches!! They are so hydrating and don't move at all when you put them on. A must have  - I love them especially when I feel like I didn't get enough sleep and need a little something to get me moving in the morning.)
