Toddler Stocking Stuffer Ideas | 2 year old stocking stuffers | 3 year old stocking stuffers | what to put in kids stocking | what to put in a toddler's stocking

Stocking stuffers can be one of the hardest parts of gift giving for kids. A lot of their items are bigger and hard to fit in a stocking. Also you want to make sure the stocking stuffers aren't junk and are stocking stuffers they'll actually use! Wondering what are good little stocking fillers? Read on for my suggestions! These are stocking stuffers that would be good for kids under the age of 5. My kids are currently almost 3 and 5 so these are stocking stuffers good for ages 3-4 or 3-5. My kids will each be getting a couple of the items from the list below in their stocking.

These are my top 10 stocking stuffers for kids.

1. Water Bottle: Pretty much can guarantee that every year my kids are getting a new water bottle in their stocking! I love these stainless steel ones that come in kid friendly patterns.

2. Small Game: We love games in our house! (This blog post shares some of my favorite games for ages 3+). There are some really fun game options that are small and can fit in stockings. When my son was 3 we gifted him Go Fish. At almost 5, he really loves UNO and Tenzi.  Something I have on his list for this year is Guess in Ten. This is like a kid's version of 20 questions and it comes in so many varieties. I think this would be a great game to have in my restaurant bag as something we could play while out to eat!

3. Gloves: Gloves are one of those items that for kids I feel like need replacing often. First, they're growing and you want to make sure these winter essentials fit well. Second, they are small items so it is easy to misplace one of them. I always buy a set of multiples so we can spread them out. We end up leaving one at daycare, keeping one in the car, and then always have one by the door at home. Have you made sure you know where yours are this winter? If not, now is a good time to replenish! We have these and these look great too. These are our favorite for a lighter option.

4. Art Supplies: Art supplies are a great stocking stuffer! Of course you could do something like markers, crayons, or colored pencils. However, this year I am getting my kids the Wikki Stix for Doodlers! I think they look so fun and like a good creative option for the kids.

5. New Toothbrush - I feel like we always got a new toothbrush in our stockings growing up. These light up ones are great for little kids as they are fun and have a timer to make sure they brush for long enough.

6. Stocking Cap: Both my boys have these stocking caps. These are another good item to replenish in the winter!

7. Building Toy: These little building blocks are the perfect size for a stocking! You can make patterns, 3D shapes, designs and more with them. Connect the different pieces to build whatever you can imagine! These come in a lot of different color palettes as well.

8. Apron: I shared this idea in my practical gift ideas for kids blog post, but I really love the idea of an apron as a gift for kids. If they do arts and crafts, like to build or paint, help in the kitchen, etc. an apron would be so useful! It would be easy to fold up and put in a stocking. This one comes in more than 10 different patterns. This one comes in 5.

9. Flashlight: These little flashlights come in tons of different colors and would make a great stocking stuffer for kids! My boys love to play camping with flashlights, or get them out for projects. A headlamp is a similar idea that is also fun.

10. Fidget Toy: A great way to round out a stocking is with some kind of fidget toy. Some ideas are these "snake" blocks you can twist into different shapessensory tubes, a pop it toy, or a suction cup spinner (we have the Fat Brain Toys version). These are all great for in the car, at a restaurant, in church, etc.
