Wrapping up this week's guest posts, today I have Adaleta of Adaatude! She is one of my favorite beauty bloggers and Youtubers to follow. (Her travel diaries are some of my favorites to watch!) She always has great tips and reviews of brands, so I am very excited to have her posting for me today!

To say I have a makeup addiction is definitely an understatement. Along with the beauty, I have a serious itch for travel, fashion anything else life throws at me. If you visit my blog, you'll find a lot of reviews and lifestyle posts. Today on Darcy's blog, I'm sharing my favorite beauty items.

Let's kick this off properly by discussing MAC eyeshadows. Retailing at $16 per shadow, these are creamy, blendable, long-lasting and just utterly beautiful. They are excellent to have in your beauty collection whether you're a beginner or a pro makeup artist. The quality is incredible. How many are in your collection? I am guilty of hoarding quite a few of these (sshhhh, don't tell my boyfriend!)

At this stage in my beauty blogging career, I've tried a number of beauty subscription boxes. I've gone through Ipsy and Birchbox and they didn't really appeal to me after a year. Those are the two most popular ones and I think it's because they're cost effective and have some big names supporting the marketing. However, I found that Glossybox was much more in tune with my brand and interests. I wrote an entire review breaking out why I prefer Glossybox, so if you'd like to take a peek make sure to read more here. I would recommend that if you're even interested in investing in a beauty subscription box, just skip the noise and sign up with Glossybox.

Because I travel so much, I tend to pick up makeup as a "souvenir" on my trips. When we went to Berlin, I found an entire Kiko Milano store. It was a total dream come true because Kiko is not the most well known brand in the US and it's quite difficult for me to get my hands on it in person. Their eyeshadows are drugstore priced (just a tad bit more than your standard Maybelline shadow) but the creaminess, texture and longevity of these is honestly mind-blowing. If you have a chance to get one of these textured shadows, do not pass up the opportunity!

Clinique recently released their Chubby Stick in the foundation form. Not only is that an amazing foundation, but their entire chubby collection is on point. I did a review of the entire collection here. I use the blushes, eyeshadows, lip pencils, mascara and foundation on a regular basis. The highlighter and contour sticks are also top notch. My favorite part is that they're so easy to throw in my purse and take with me on the go. Oh forgot to apply my lip color? I can just take the lip pencil with me and apply on the road. It's so easy!

I have been raving about the L'Oreal Infallible Pro Matte foundation for over a year, because I truly believe it is the best foundation I have ever tried. It's cost-effective, ideal for oilier skin types and just blends beautifully into the skin. However, the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation has taken the cake for the best new foundation in my life. I have not picked up the L'Oreal foundation in weeks and I'm so impressed with every aspect of this foundation. It is absolute perfection and worth every penny of its luxurious price tag!

Finally, I have to touch on my absolute favorite makeup brand as of late. Not only do they carry a wonderful message about how every single human is beautiful, but their products are second to none. I love trying all of their new makeup and repurchasing their existing line too. If you haven't tried anything from IT Cosmetics I cannot recommend this enough. Hi there everyone! I'm Biana and I blog over at B~Loved Boston, over there you can find me chatting about everything from beauty to recipes and today while Darcy and her husband are enjoying their international adventure, I'm excited to talk destinations - specifically some of my all time favorite destinations! I love to travel - whether it's a weekend getaway or a 24 hour flight...more on that later! So here's a little wanderlust for both me and you!

One of the first trips my husband and I took together while we were dating was to Aruba and it still happens to be one of our favorites ever! Aruba is outside the hurricane belt so for the majority of the year, the island enjoys gorgeous weather with water at the perfect temperature! It also helps that most of the resorts are all inclusive!

Maui was pretty much the only place on my radar for our honeymoon - it had everything we wanted after our wedding - the beach with plenty of relaxation & plenty of things to keep us busy like ziplining and whale watching!

Just like Darcy and her husband, we went to London and Paris for our one year anniversary. This being our first trip to Europe together - we were pretty excited, but I couldn't wait to see Paris! I recapped our adventures for London & Paris, but here are a few of my favorite photos.

Lucky enough to see Paris during Bastille Day! Incredible to see fireworks coming from the Eiffel Tower.

We just recently came back from the most epic trip of my life - India and Dubai! While India was certainly an incredible experience, Dubai was unlike anything I've every seen in my life!! It's as if they took everything great about every major city in the world and dropped it into Dubai! You can read both recaps here and here, but again here are a few of my favorite photos!

We have a few fun trips that we're planning to take to round out the year to Nashville and Toronto so if you've been to either one - let me know some fun things to do!! What's your favorite type of vacation - beach or city - or a combination of both!?

Another season has come and gone, and while we loved the furry boots and warm accessories of winter, we’re dying to shed some of the layers for the warmer weather to come. The spring 2016 fashion shows demonstrated a spectrum of trends, with many of them that have the potential of translating into our daily wardrobe. So ladies, put away those big coats and knit sweaters and try these trends on for size:

The X Silhouette Last year was all about the off shoulder tops, and continuing the obsession with accentuating your shoulders is the new “x” halter neckline, a spin off of the popular spring 2015 trend. According to Elle, the silhouette was observed across various major designers, including Derek Lam, Givenchy and Jason Wu.

The Elevated Pajama Labels are adding a whole new meaning to Casual Fridays at the office as labels introduce their take on high fashion flannel pajamas. In previous seasons, silk and lace slips stole the spotlight in terms of boudoir wear turned everyday wardrobe, but it’s the two piece pajama that designers are focusing on at the moment. Whether you’re a fan of floral satins or star spangled silks, industry leaders like Dolce & Gabbana and Gucci have you covered.

The Ruffly Ensemble Romance was in the air as the models for Marques Almeida, Michael Kors and Roberto Cavalli stepped onto the runways in ruffles. Spanish influences are appearing everywhere in the fashion world, and this key detail trend makes feel like bringing out our inner flamenco dancer. Although these styles will be prevalent this upcoming spring season, remember that you shouldn’t blindly follow trends. The beauty of fashion is that there aren’t any rules, and there’s no shame in going against the current. “It’s all about your comfort and that starts with a great fit,” says the women’s plus size fashion retailer Woman Within, so if these trends don’t work for you, go with what you’re comfortable in.

Cate Blanchett has long been an advocate for better female representation in films, particularly during the awards trail that saw her gather nearly every award for which she was nominated, for her role in Woody Allen’s film Blue Jasmine. Blanchett has never shied away from difficult and challenging roles, such as Elizabeth I, Katharine Hepburn and even Bob Dylan, showing her emotional dexterity and her ability to inhabit the inner space of very public and conflicted figures. She uses her position to champion the stories that are told in our cinemas, eloquently arguing for the economic and social benefits of centering narratives around women’s experiences. A statuesque vision in classic designers like Givenchy and Armani, and in more up-coming designers like Proenza Schouler, Blanchett is graceful and is a modern icon.

For many millennials, we were first introduced to Lucy Liu for her role as Alex in Charlie’s Angels. Whilst all three of the ‘angels’ possess highly specialized physical abilities (AKA kicking butt when enemies threaten them), Alex was the brains of the group. It seems that art imitated reality, with Liu a college graduate with a degree Asian languages and cultures: smart, culturally aware, Liu has continued to take on intelligent roles, not least by assuming the part of Dr. Watson in the show Elementary. A modern update of the Sherlock Holmes stories and characters, Dr. Watson is normally the preserve of men; but in this series, the gender has been switched to accommodate this searingly.
