I always try to buy clothing that I am going to be able to get a lot of use out of. I really try to avoid buying something that I can only wear once, or wear one way. One thing that I think can be kind of hard to restyle is jumpsuits or rompers. They are SO cute, but they make quite a statement! While a good thing, it can also make restyling them a little difficult. Today, I am sharing with you all how I make a jumpsuit more casual. This one is from Blue Labels Boutique and it is incredibly comfortable. I made it more casual by adding a military jacket and some slip-on shoes. I think it would also be cute with a light wash denim jacket and some fun, statement sneakers. The options are endless!
Make sure you come back next Monday to see how I wear this jumpsuit for a dressier occasion. If you click into the boutique's website you will notice that the back of this jumpsuit is SO fun. It also has a super cute v-neck neckline, that is not super noticeable with a jacket over it. I am excited to show you how I make it a little fancier!

Happy Friday, everyone! I am so excited for the weekend, and am looking forward to some time off work! Do you have any exciting plans? Let me know in the comments!
I am not sure about the weather where you live, but we are still experiencing pretty hot weather here in KC. I want to pull out some of my fall pieces, but still be comfortable for the weather. This is also difficult because for some reason they have kept the thermostat at what feels like 30 degrees at work all week long! (Not kidding, I was wrapped up in a blanket for the past three days at my desk aha!) I decided to wear my new flannel earlier this week. I picked it up during the labor day sales and love it! I have a couple plaid tops, but nothing in this green color. I knew I would be way too hot if I went with riding boots so I paired it with these fun ankle booties instead. It was the perfect look for early fall weather (and a freezing office)!
Have a good weekend!

It must be Fall now, because I am wearing a puffer vest in two posts in a row. I didn't even notice it until I came on to write this post, hah! I picked up this vest during a labor day sale, and immediately wanted to wear it. It is starting to feel more like Fall here, but it is not quite cool enough for jeans and a vest, so I opted to wear it over a dress instead! I am excited that it is starting to get somewhat cooler because I can now wear my Tory Burch riding boots again! I picked them up last year and love them so much! They were my big splurge last year during the Nordstrom anniversary sale, and I am so glad I purchased them. Shoes are one thing that will always be worth the money to me! How about you?
(Also, thank you all so much for your words on encouragement on Monday's post! You are the best!)

Hello, everyone! I apologize for my absence over here in blog land over last week. (I'll get more into that below.) I didn't make it very far into Fall before breaking out my herringbone vest. I couldn't get enough of it last season, and I imagine I will wear it just as much this year! (Here is one of my favorite looks from last year.) I noticed a lot of the comments online for this vest seem to be disappointed that it is a puffer material... and not cotton like they expected. I am not sure if it ever was actually cotton in the past, but my vest is puffer material! (I checked with two friends who also have this vest and theirs are also puffer.) Just wanted you all to be aware because there seems to be some confusion!
So, this post is about to get way longer than my normal posts. Last week, I did not post once. I don't think that has ever happened here before! I pretty much never post on holidays, so I was planning on taking Monday off. The rest of the week just kind of followed. Lately, I have had conflicting opinions about blogging. I absolutely love my blog and the people who I have met through it. It is a creative outlet, and a wonderful hobby for me. However, in the past few weeks it has started to feel more like work. Rather than sitting down in the evening saying, "I can't wait to write my post!" I was thinking "I have to write this post."
I have found myself wanting a hobby that doesn't involve staring at a screen. In this post, you may have noticed I have been doing a lot of reading lately. Last weekend, Tyler and I also brought my keyboard back to Kansas City so I could practice playing the piano again. I love my blog, but I don't want it to be all of me. I am glad I took a break last week, because it kind of "rekindled the flame". I took a huge step back last week and hardly read blogs, hardly spent any time on Instagram, etc. It was necessary and invigorating. By Thursday, I completely missed the blogging world.
All of that being said, I will now only be posting on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. You can expect consistent content on those days. I may do extra things on Tuesdays, like share my latest YouTube video or a sale guide, but those will be sporadic posts. (At least for now... this could all change in six months ahah!) I want to keep blogging fun for me, and I also want to be able to dedicate time to other hobbies in the evenings.
I appreciate all of my readers so much. Your comments and involvement make blogging so. much. fun. I genuinely appreciate your involvement on my little space on the internet. Thank you all for your continued support!
