I have been majorly crushing on white jeans for winter lately. (Just check last Monday's post for proof!) This time I am kept the outfit in shades of black and white. I absolutely love how this black plaid blanket scarf looks against my white denim. I also think it ties the rest of the outfit together. You may recognize this scarf from this post where I paired plaid with stripes, or this post where I styled it with gray jeans. My exact scarf is sold out, but I have found one on Etsy that is almost an exact match! (I also love that it's through Etsy which means if you bought it you would be supporting a small business.)
Also, what is your favorite brand of white denim? Mine exact ones are from Express and I really do like them a lot. They are 6 or 7 years old and still look really nice! However, I would like to purchase a new pair this summer, so if you have any recommendations leave them down in the comments : ).
Have a great day!

Tyler and I have a beach vacation coming up, and I am so excited to head to warmer weather sometime in the near future! We have been to the beach together twice. First we went to Mexico with friends and then went to Punta Cana for our honeymoon. Both were such great times and I know this next trip will be another trip to remember!
Since we've taken a couple beach vacations, I've got a quick system down for packing that I thought I would share with you all. Fun fact, growing up I would always pack for a trip like a week in advance. We used to go to church camp for a week every summer and I would get so excited that I would pack the Sunday before we were supposed to leave haha! Although I am not that good of a planner anymore, I still do like to set items aside for a trip as I think of them. This is by no means comprehensive -- but below are some things that I always make sure to bring with me when I'm heading on a beach trip!
The most obvious thing you need for a beach trip is a swimsuit! I normally like to pack 2-3 suits depending on the number of days I am going on my trip. This year I picked up this one and I'm obsessed with the cut outs! For size reference, I needed a medium in both the top and bottom. (I also purchased this striped one.) To go with your swimsuit, you will also need a beach bag. The first time Tyler and I went on a beach vacation, I did not pack a beach bag. I just didn't think I would need one since we were staying at an all inclusive resort and our room would be steps away from the beach. (WRONG!) There were countless times I wished I had one to throw in my towel, my phone, a book, a water bottle, you name it. Now I don't forget it. You can shop my yellow beach bag here, but it also comes in pink, red, black, and blue!
When I go to the beach I like to pack two hats-- one baseball cap and then a sun hat. I like having the variety. It is great to have the beach/floppy hat for when I'm lounging in a chair reading a good book. (I have this one and love it!) However, I like the ball cap for if we are doing something more active like taking a walk down the beach, for example. (Of course I have to support my Royals!)
For accessories and shoes, I only pack a few things. After all, I'm at the beach so I'm only really getting dressed up for dinner. I always pack my Jack Rogers and throw in some fun colorful jewelry. I will always throw in a pair of flip flops to wear to the beach or pool and some wedges for when I need to be fancier.
For outfits, I like to mix and match. I will normally bring 2-3 bottoms with me for my beach trip. I will always pack denim shorts, patterned shorts, and then depending on the weather I may throw in white jeans. From there, I like to bring simple tops that can go with all the different bottoms. (This scalloped tee pictured above is one of my absolute favorites.) I will also throw in some dresses for dinners. Last weekend I picked up this dress and I can't wait to wear it out to dinner one night!
For toiletries, I will bring the basics. If you want to see how I pack my makeup bag for traveling, check out my recent YouTube video! I would appreciate it if you would click in and give it a thumbs up. It really helps with my search results. Also, I would love if you subscribed to me via YouTube if you have not already : ).

The weather this past weekend was so nice, it definitely had me craving spring! It was nice enough to walk around one of our outdoor malls and pick up some fun new spring pieces. (Want a hint for what I purchased? Check out my shop tab.) Since the weather was nicer, I wanted to wear an outfit with more of a spring color palette. I reached a mint sweater first and then added on some pink earrings for a fun touch. Although warm, it was not nice enough to go without a coat, so I opted for a puffer vest. You all have seen this specific vest before a couple times, but some of my favorite posts are here and here.
I love puffer vests because they are great for transition weather. When it is just starting to feel like fall, I reach for mine constantly. It's a great option for when you don't want to break out your heavier coats! Then come the start of spring I find myself doing the same. Although it's only February 3 so I hardly consider this the start of spring haha! It was just such a nice surprise to have great weather the last day of January.
Navy and mint is one of my favorite color combos. Fun fact, they were our wedding colors! Have you seen our wedding pictures? We're getting close to one year!

I loved white on white during the summer (post here) and am still loving it now in the winter. I think a neutral look is totally unexpected for winter as most people reach for their dark colors during this time of year. Although I love wearing a neutral look like this, it can be really intimidating to wear your white jeans in the winter. I've said it before, but after the snow falls and people drive on it, everything is just dirty haha!
I've made my neutral look more winter appropriate by adding a cozy knit sweater. I guess this technically wouldn't be considered a white on white look for winter as the top is beige, so if you truly wanted a white on white look I think this sweater would be so cute. As most people have spring on the brain (including me) this is a great way to start bringing out some of your favorite spring pieces! I added one pop of color to this look with my new Michael Kors bag. I didn't plan it, but even my nail color was neutral! I had to laugh as I was looking through the pictures.
Hope you all have a great week!
