You may have noticed that I am not keeping up with comments lately on my blog. Well, that is because I am currently on the beach in Mexico! (You can see vacation pictures on my Instagram @ _darcyylynn_ .) I promise to get back to you all next week. The rest of the week, I will be introducing you to some of my favorite Kansas City bloggers :).
Today you are meeting Ashley from Le Stylo Rouge. As soon as I saw Ashley was from Kansas City I subscribed! The girl has killer style (and hair)! Don't even get me started on her amazing shoe collection!

Hi there, I’m Ashley from Le Stylo Rouge . Darcy asked me to do a guest post while she’s
in Mexico (jealous!), and as a fellow Kansas City girl, I just couldn't say no.
:)
So let’s talk holiday outfits. We've all got parties coming
up, Thanksgiving to think about, mini-reunions with old friends that always
seem to come around this time, etc. What’s a girl to wear? I've got an idea:
edgy glam.
Edgy Glam
The idea here is to elevate the classic outfit of skinny
jeans-and-a-blouse-with-pumps. I took a ladylike camisole in a bright color
(jewel tones are always a big hit for holiday-wear; don’t shy away from bold
colors!) and matched it up with a tough pair of coated black denim. (Looks like
leather, feels like a standard pair of jeans– best of both worlds!) I love the
way the girly top looks with the bad girl bottoms, don’t you? Definitely gives
your glam some edge.
Up your shoe game by going with shiny black patent over a
basic leather pump. I chose a peep-toe slingback, but you have a ton of options
here. Going with a bright color (either matchy-matchy with your top, or in a
contrasting hue) is another good move.
Because it’s nearly winter (hello, December!), you’ll want
to have a blazer on hand. I love a winter white blazer, because it’s a bit
unexpected and a bolder choice here than basic black.
Stick with minimal jewelry so you don’t overload the look,
but opt for a bold lip color to tie everything in.

There you have it, fashion friends. A glam look with a bit
of toughness for a night out during the holiday season. What do you think?
A massive thanks to Darcy for letting me blog while she’s
out. Swing by my blog, Le Stylo Rouge, sometime and leave a
comment– I would love to hear from all of you!
Happy outfitting!
