While most holiday looks are full of lots of bling, sometimes I think looks with just a touch of sparkle are best. The above look is what I wore for Christmas day, but I think this look could also work for a last minute New Years Eve outfit idea! The stitching in the sweater has sparkles in it, which provides just the right amount of shine. I kept my accessories pretty neutral, but add a statement necklace and you're good to go for your New Years Eve party! I cannot find this exact sweater online anymore, but if you look in store you should be able to find it as I just recently bought it. I still haven't decided what I want to wear on New Year's Eve as it is going to be only like 18 degrees that night! I'm opting for sweatpants and a blanket right now haha. Do you have fun New Years Eve plans?!
I hope you all had great holidays! I enjoyed all the time I had celebrating with my family. If you follow me on Instagram, then you saw we got 6 inches of snow on Christmas Eve! We had a White Christmas and I loved it. They are claiming we are going to get hit with another 10 inches today! Guess Winter is officially here.

I bought a super sparkly top last week for H&M and sadly the fit was just off so I'm looking for last minute ideas :) Thanks for the inspo! xo, Biana -BlovedBoston
ReplyDeleteI was so sad we didn't have a white Christmas here! I am happy that you did though because it gave you the best background!

ReplyDeleteGreat look! I'm lovin' the clutch. So pretty
ReplyDeleteI'm so incredibly jealous of your white Christmas! I was wearing jeans, but I probably would have been more comfortable in shorts this Christmas because it was 80 degrees outside! I love how you added just a little bit of glimmer to your NYE outfit! This would be the perfect outfit to wear from the office to a NYE party!
ReplyDeleteGreat classic skirt! It fits you really well. It is amazing how changing up accessories can modify a look for any occasion.

Enjoy the snow!! I am ok with it as long as I don't have to get out in it. We are just getting so much rain here in St. Louis. It is supposed to stop tonight. I love a hint of sparkle, too and I wore a grey top with sparkly elbow patches for Christmas Eve! You look great!

So so classy girl, yes I love it! And oh yes I do love that pretty snow, but you look even prettier!
ReplyDeleteHa! We've been in the 70's for over a week now with rain and miserable humidity and drizzle. I am jealous of your cool temps, I know crazy, but I want to wear winter clothes! I would die if I had to wear a sweater right now lol. NYE should be cooler though yay!!!
ReplyDeleteYou look fantastic in that look! I wish you a happy new year!

I definitely prefer a more understated sparkly rather than straight up sequins so I love the subtlety of that sweater.
ReplyDeleteSuch a perfect piece for the holiday season.
Jealous you got a white Christmas! I wanted one soooo badly, but we did just get a few inches today so that's exciting!

I don't even know what I want to do for New Year's Eve, so I haven't figured out the wearing thing yet :). Your outfit is classic and cute!
ReplyDeleteLove the sparkle in the sweater! You guys have so much snow!! Winter definitely hasn't hit for us yet haha, it's been unseasonably warm

Kind of jealous of your white Christmas! It was rainy and entirely too warm for December here. We're going on a fancy dinner date (at 5pm!) for NYE, then we'll be spending the rest of the evening in our sweats with some Netflix :) This is kind of our last fancy date before baby arrives!
ReplyDeleteLoving grey and black combos for winter - this is perfect! My NYE style will likely consist of sweatpants...not exciting but comfy at least!! :)

Gorgeous outfit! Also looks warm for those colder nights (where we live it's still warmish). So I could just wear a dress and be okay.

I was so sad we didn't have a white Christmas last week ... and then it snowed last night, which I'm even more annoyed by. Can't we have snow just for Christmas week? ;-)

You're absolutely right, a hint of sparkle works wonders. I particularly like how you used those opaque leggings to great success, they make your legs look as though they go on for miles :) so lovely.

I missed some of your posts from the holidays so I am catching up with them now. I love love this look. Great skirt and sweater. Outfits like these is what I love and wear over the holidays (check yesterday's post). I love the look of a mini skirt or short trumpet skirt like yours with dark tights or black opaque tights. It is instant chic.
